Nieuwe Oogst NOVEMBER 2011( deel 1) bij TOPPYJAZZ 208.

Deze maand twee afleveringen NIEUWE OOGST, want we kregen meer dan 150 nieuwe cd's binnen.
We beginnen met CARO EMERALD live in de Heineken Music HAll. Jammer dat de dvd van haar optreden in 2.0 en niet in 5.1 stereo is. Een misser!
Bassist Christian McBride is aanwezig met zijn laatste album The Good Feeling.
Verder zangeres Melissa Walker en haar album I Saw The Sky.

Tot slot een droevige mededeling : zanger en componist Gene McDaniels is overleden op 29 juli 2011. U krijgt van ons dan ook als toegift een track van zijn album UNIVERSAL JONES uit de jaren 70.

NIEUWE OOGST februari 2011 (toppyjazz 174)

Wij draaien deze week de nieuwe cd van de Franse violist DIDIER LOCKWOOD.
CARO EMERALD is bij ons met stukken van haar debut cd "Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor".
Ook kregen we een album binnen van de in New Orleans geboren zanger Johnny Adams.
Verder pianiste Geri Allen, zangeres Kiri Te Kanawa en tot slot zangeres HANNAH KÖPF.
Ze studeerde in Amsterdam en was al op tournee door Duitsland en Nederland.
